Providing Tomorrow's Health Care Today

The Colorado Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CoAND) is a professional association of naturopathic doctors (NDs) who live and work in Colorado. Our members are graduates of government accredited four-year, graduate-level, fulltime, in-residence naturopathic medical programs. While the State of Colorado does not regulate the naturopathic profession at this time through registration or licensure, all of our members maintain a naturopathic physician's license in one of the fourteen states that currently regulate the practice of naturopathic medicine.

Naturopathic doctors (NDs) are the nation's leading experts in natural medicine and natural health care. In states that regulate naturopathic medicine, naturopathic doctors serve both as family doctors and specialists in natural medicine. They are recognized as primary care providers for insurance companies and serve as general practitioners for families. (Read More: Naturopathic Medicine)

Testimonials

This is a naturopathic infusion of nature cure, love and wisdom. -Maureen Tighe ND, LAc

This conference is a brilliant reminder of the uniqueness of who we are as naturopathic doctors, how we think, and what we offer our patients.

I loved this conference.  To be surrounded by these Collegiate Peaks, clear air, stellar colleagues, not to mention the nourishing healing waters and lectures—I will be back year after year, and make suer I even try to come a day early for more ‘vitamin R’—Nancy Rao ND, LAc

I attended the first conference and it was amazing.  Dr. Edwards and Dr. Frances gave timely and thorough lectures, as well as bringing their own deep understanding and experience.  The land was breathtaking, the springs relaxing and beautiful, the food delicious and the company nourishing.  -Lorraine Caron, ND

Legislative Update

The CoAND supports passage of regulations which set standards of education and training for practitioners of naturopathic medicine. Doing so will make naturopathic medicine available to more people in Colorado while at the same time protecting the public from incompetent practitioners.

While our association sets high standards for membership, the State of Colorado does not regulate the practice of Naturopathic Medicine. As a result of this lack of regulation there are no standards imposed upon individuals who use the title naturopath, naturopathic doctor, naturopathic physician or naturopathic medical doctor.

Thank you again for your support.
